I ride the bus
I assumed people would park on them if it didn't damage their cars. Keeping the bike lane lower means most vehicles would bottom out once they put their left tire in the lane.
But yeah you're correct form work is the expensive part.

The one in DC looks like it sucks. But the center-running bike lanes on Riverside Drive were an improvement (with fewer parked cars/trash cans). They'd be pretty good with an 8" concrete curb protecting them.

Valets do wild stuff, but also, it seems like the street was designed for that behavior

I put a sidewalk in the middle so I could walk a block without private traffic officers yelling at me.

Something like Demonbreun Hill/12th South would be great if NDOT could actually get it in place. But I've convinced myself I like this better. bsky.app/profile/buse...
But since the garage has been burnt down and seems likely to be closed for a long time, there's an opportunity to change the road layout. Let's turn it into a boulevard and eliminate all mid-block turns by drivers. The valet drivers can park wherever they are parking now.

It was supposed to be temporary. The design is for hardened bike lanes on both sides of the street. The Renaissance Hotel’s valet has been an obstacle to that. bsky.app/profile/neil...
COMMERCE STREET CONCRETE CURB. LFG! MONDAY NIGHT VILLA CASTRIOTI IS BACK ON THE MENU.

Not mine but it was similar to this photo.

There was a store called the Green Wagon that had a cool green Mercedes station wagon, and they would host veggie oil car meetups and sold biodiesel in addition to other natural products.

A dozen*

No a little before that article there was a veggie oil car community in Nashville which led to dozens of people driving Mercedes from the 80s. The speedometer on mine didn't work so I just drove slower than everybody else.

I used to get their veggie oil to fuel my car. It was so nice and clean

Zero. Too many notifications.

I didn't look at the picture closely and thought that person’s jacket was the #34 Chiefs jersey. Too bad it isn't from 2000 (Super Bowl XXXIV)

Yeah, that's the side of Morrow that has a sidewalk north of Georgia Ave.

What did the seats look like?

Yeah we should probably be in the Eastern Time Zone. Every time I talk to someone outside of Nashville they are surprised we are not.

The “corn” part seems redundant
