When the original poster tried to diss on "Activists," I feel like that was targeted towards a lot of folks like us, who would be happy seeing more gay representation and get nothing out of scantily clad women.

Seeing it echoed in a gay context feels weird.

If I were a passionate artist who could just whip something up on a whim, this is the part where I'd sketch my fursona in a cape to drive in the point. Unfortunately, that would require time that would be better spent on my VN. Also, I still don't have a sona yet. Someday...

After an early childhood of pretty much nothing but Pokémon, Sonic, and Mario, seeing my step brother playing City Folk absolutely blew my 8 year old mind.

I don't plan on selling my art in my lifetime, but I would certainly think that I'm the only person who can fairly assess what my time is worth. If it doesn't sell at that price, it would be up to me to reevaluate, not the buyer. Past a certain point, would it be worth my time in the first place?

Maybe it's where I live or the places I frequent, but surprisingly I've very rarely experienced a negative reaction like that. I've gotten plenty of "Well then, more for me" responses, but usually in good humor. And a few "How long have you been sober?" Funny because I never liked the stuff at all.

I want to engage more with people on platforms like this, but it's not so much anxiety as just having nothing to say. "Cool" or "Nice job" feels so hollow to write out, and just clicking the heart is so much easier…

It doesn't surprise me at all, but it was funny researching for this post and finding out that the Harkness Test meme originated from furaffinity. Like, I'd heard of this before I was even a Dr. Who fan, and that was years before I joined the furry fandom.

I got to eat at a restaurant called Werewolf, where I'm pretty sure the bartender was flirting with me, so that was cool at least. The porkbelly benedict was phenomenal.
