CASA updates safety standards for helipads in 2023. In 2024 SA Labour government spends $23million to 'upgrade' some regional helipads but didn't read the standards so 7 of them now can't be used including ours.

I'm not a city person but this one is close to my heart. Cologne Cathedral is Gothically beautiful! The tallest Cathedral in the world with twin spires one of which I climbed as a child (533 steps up). (I have family there and have been fortunate to visit many times over the years).

On my morning walk I saw a knob. Why do young tradesmen not use a toilet? There he is beside the road for all to see including young school girls and me. (peeing beside a road is illegal in Australia). I can understand if you're out bush but on a street in the middle of town?? Rant over...

This is the Lim Valley or Limski Canal near Rovinj, Croatia. It's a really interesting place. I took these back in 2018 (the last time I went on a plane). Amongst the movies filmed here is a Kirk Douglas movie 'Vikings' from 1958.

Hard to understand a govt that blocks teenagers from social media but has *no* issue with them accessing online gambling platforms at all, or with them being bombarded with ads for online gambling.
Australia’s teen social media ban has a gaming-sized loophole
The list of banned platforms requires mental gymnastics that the government has struggled to explain, and ignores where kids actually spend their time.

I've fallen down the K-drama rabbit hole.
'My Liberation Notes' on netflix is a 'hidden gem' I read about elsewhere. As an introvert it hit home for me in so many ways. Always being the quiet one at the table, seeing things other people miss and being invisible in society etc.
