When they tell you the Ballroom is privately funded and won't use the taxpayers' money, keep in mind:
Those private “donations” are funneled through the Trust for the National Mall. Donations to this nonprofit organization are tax deductible.
That's money that probably won't be paid in taxes.

I am so not surprised to see that Brian Tyler Cohen has co-founded a project to secretly pay liberal influencers in order to control their speech and forbid them to criticize some Democrats. 🤢
I guess we shouldn't address Gavin Newsom's anti-trans statements and actions, for example.
DNC lackey sht.
A Dark Money Group Is Secretly Funding High-Profile Democratic Influencers
An initiative aimed at boosting Democrats online offers influencers up to $8,000 a month to push the party line. All they have to do is keep it secret—and agree to restrictions on their content.

Third Way is now yelling at people for using the language that literally Third Way promotes, uses, and normalizes — and Third Way is somehow pretending this language that it promotes is the fault of “the left.”

Two assassination attempts (probably from the same guy) against Democrat lawmakers and their spouse, hours apart, in Minnesota.
One was successful.

That's what the language of hate and the lies from the Republicans brought to us.

Gavin Newson is NOT an ally, and should not be perceived in the future as a proper post-Trump presidential candidate.
If he's ok with such a transphobic policy, what other terrible policies from the MAGA government would he maintain?
Holy shit - Gavin Newsom has clarified that this goes even further.

The transgender runner will compete "in her own category."

California is basically instituting a sports ban.

A critical review of the “Cass Report” used to justify transphobic policies concluded it is shit. It relies on bad analysis and misrepresents the science on the topic.

Under the Trump administration’s theory of the law, the government could have banished this U.S. citizen to a Salvadoran prison then refused to do anything to bring him back.

This is why the Constitution guarantees due process to all. Could it be more obvious?

You know why Republicans pass laws that make it harder for people to vote?
No, it's not to “fight fraud”.
It's because that's the only way they can still hope to win enough elections to have any sort of power.
This is an anti-democratic party.

Here's some hope.
ELECTION RESULT: A team of city council members in Rolla, Missouri, have been pushing anti-LGTB policies, including a ban on drag shows and book censorship.

Voters just ousted all three of these city councilors who were running for reelection, backing candidates backed by a local LGBT group.

When the right complains about “censorship,” or “free speech,” they are complaining about their inability to use slurs to harass, defame, or threaten people with violence online.

When the left complains about censorship, it is because they have been de-platformed for criticizing someone in power.

Keep in mind: if there's no due process, not only immigrants are at risk.
Sotomayor is right. According to this Supreme Court, the US can now kidnap, detain, and fly legal immigrants and citizens to a foreign country's prison, even if it's a whoopsie.

America, people. Freedom and stuff.

Another definitive proof that Trump knowingly lies to the people:

On Wednesday, he claimed that China had 67% tariffs on US imports.
Yet, when China retaliated on Trump tariffs with 34% tariffs, Trump complained.

He knows full well China never had 67% tariffs.

Interesting plan from Sen. Cantwell (D) and Grassley (R).
It's not asking GOP lawmakers to vote against Trump (yet), making the law easier to pass… but it would then force GOP lawmakers to explicitly take a stand and involve themselves regarding Trump's tariffs (with their reelection on the line).
Senators introduce bipartisan bill to give Congress more power over tariffs
Senators have introduced bipartisan legislation to grant Congress more power over instituting tariffs on other countries following President Trump’s announcement of wide-ranging taxes on nearly all…

Don't trust that Trump's tariffs will lead companies to build factories in the US: the administration, through those tariffs and other actions, has also proven to be unpredictable and untrustworthy.
Would you start building a factory in such a country?

Yes. Remember that business leaders can pay millions of dollars to be able to talk with Trump.
Remember that Trump talked about adding exemptions to the tariffs.

The President has no business setting up tariffs.
It's the Congress's job.
The Congress can act.

The GOP cannot survive long term without taking action now… except if they are betting on a dictatorship.

They know it. They saw the special elections results. They saw the town halls.

New in PN: Trump’s third term threats are not a distraction

"When Trump talks about a third term, it’s not just a distraction. It’s as close as he gets to telling the truth. He's an authoritarian who hates the Constitution and wants to rule forever. That’s a message which we ignore at our peril."
