“The cruelty of these cuts is matched only by their stupidity,” writes Lawrence Summers about the domestic policy bill President Trump signed into law on Friday. “Medicaid beneficiaries will lose, but so will the rest of us.”

A focus on economics misses the human brutality that is the most problematic aspect of this legislation.

Millions of Americans — especially seniors, small businesses, and rural communities — rely daily on USPS's affordable rates and universal service.

Privatization would make the mail more expensive and less reliable — all to enrich the billionaire class.

We cannot let it happen.

The regime continues to deport lawful residents with no due process & in defiance of court orders.

If you think this doesn’t affect you, you’re wrong. They won’t stop with folks from Syria & Lebanon.

If we let them get away with this, they’ll expand to all sorts of people, including citizens.

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

Really think about how twisted this all is.

We need more engineers & immigration policy should facilitate that.

We also need many other workers, in health care, construction, small business, etc.

Since our founding, immigrants with all sorts of skills have made the U.S. a better place.

Let’s not pretend only tech immigrants are worthy.
