For a flickering moment Archer sees it (I’m sure he’ll forget🤦‍♀️). Ellen is winning the protection of prominent men. Maybe accidentally, since meekly asking for “guidance” ensures their interest in her, but maybe… purposefully. I’m not sure I think less of her for it. Yet. But it’s a fact. 🏹

The Bread Garden is located in Johnson County. A state is red therefore they deserve it is just malicious.

It’s time to preserve the knowledge and tools, somehow, because the past may become the only authentically human future. I thumbed my nose at computer art even as I taught it.

My husband the librarian would see Funes as a cataloguer here, but as a (not very good) programmer, I just wonder what kind of file system he is using! Also, sadly not shocked at Borges poor country cousin attitude toward Uruguay.

Our annual Tales of the Arabian Nights game has begun. My husband had an interesting encounter with a dendan. They can eat an entire ship whole. Interestingly they produce an oil with magical qualities. Good luck getting any oil from them.

Look at exit polls. There are quite a few but all show the same trend. Everyone over 45 in this one, and 30-44 isn’t looking good. Gender and race mattered more than age. Time to consider why Trump appealed to nearly all age groups, especially white people, especially men.

This is so good to hear! I’m definitely planting a butterfly bush now.” (Not invasive in our climate). The coneflowers will return and spread. What color yarrow do you grow?

Fuck.

Iowa is insanely gerrymandered. Anyone reading this, look at this map and don’t let it happen to you. Iowa was once a purple state.

You may want to rethink this ageist stereotype. Wikipedia breaks it down even better, if you are truly curious. White people under 55 were as pro-Trump as those 55+. And young Blacks and Hispanics were more likely to vote for for Trump than their elders. Also look at gender overall. What do you see?

Recently bought the 50th anniversary edition in Spanish. I’ll be reading Don Quixote too. Might not be able to do both, but add me. I’d love to share some of the brilliant illustrations. 💯

Spooky games today. Skulls of Sedlec. Robbing the graveyard and stacking the skulls. Quite a nice band of Troubadours to entertain the peasants for the win.

I’ve done this from the start. But for women, the 60’s has its own baggage.
