It's racism. Dudes in the Army who aren't shaving are almost exclusively doing it for religious (foreign, inscrutable)reasons or because some black people's skin really doesn't react well to daily shaves.

I went Nordic Pagan exclusively for the chance to explain to a bored JAG lawyer that I must receive a combat zone viking funeral or risk being denied Valhalla. I didn't consider the value of not having to shave.
