GLP-1 agonists weren’t designed to reduce cravings for alcohol, opioids, nicotine, etc. but that side effect will have many social benefits

Human civilization as we know it might depend on finding a drug that similarly reduces cravings for social-media-derived dopamine

I end up talking to a lot of founders where their technology involves somehow solving like 3-5 fundamental challenges at once and it ends up sounding like a Rube Goldberg machine.

New tech doesn’t work like that. Solving one challenge is hard enough. Do that well, and then maybe take on a 2nd one.

Extremely optimistic about the future of geothermal!

Planning to launch or a few co’s with Marble — reach out!

Congrats @timlatimer.bsky.social and the Fervo team for leading the way in next-gen geothermal!
A lot of people still don’t realize that dramatic cost reductions in geothermal is something happening *right now*, not theoretically in the future.

Here is a look at the cost numbers published by NREL every year for Deep Enhanced Geothermal. A 50% improvement in 2024 with a lot more to come.

Many takes lamenting downfall of Northvolt pinning the blame on EU policy. Wrong!

Northvolt received billions € in support and had signed offtakes! It's downfall is a textbook case of mismanagement through poor financial discipline and overstretching.

What can we do as individuals for climate?
A recent review propose 6 types of action: how we eat, move, use energy in homes, buy products. "Citizenship", "Influence" refer to how we can have a larger impact. How we vote, talk about climate, engage with our communities, choose our jobs, or invest.
