Who will create this labeler!? 😂

A useful feature they could add to bluesky is labels to clarify if someone in your feed is going through a personal crisis or live reacting to football

Hey everybody! You may notice Trending start to appear in your app!

Here’s some quick info:

- This is a beta
- Search page on mobile, right sidebar on desktop
- You can disable it with the X button on the trending section
- English only for now, while we test it

Merry Christmas!

Next release is gonna be good yall. Here's one nice bit that @danabra.mov just landed: quick access to thread settings

If I had to guess, 99% of users don't even know these exist. Now they're right there!

The power and the risks of blocklists.

bsky.app/profile/davi...
I added a comment to this. I think it's a great idea to discuss the power with moderation lists and possible ways that list subscribers could have more control.

I suggested:
- "allow lists" that take priority
- don't block following
- clone lists to customize

Chime in if you have any thoughts!

We just started a new list you can follow where we will publish all tools and functions we find that are connected to science and research.

You can find the list here: bsky.app/profile/did:...

Today is a good day to get to know feeds.

A really good thing with Bluesky is that you can add custom feeds to your home screen.
You can make your own feeds, share them or follow feeds others shared.

Here is a good example, the Koreanist feed. A good feed to follow today.

There's a whole lot of conversation still to be had about proving identity, but just want to call out that this option is available right now (and super cool to see!)

The only way Dylan could get a nytimes-dot-com handle like this is if nytimes set it up!

Interesting:

bskypt.vercel.app 🧾

"bskypt" lets you enter your #BlueSky handle and it generates a fun #oldschool receipt of your activity. I did mine and attached here as an example.

Starter packs are different from blocklists. So they can't be blocked.
Blocklists are created in setting -> moderation and they can be used to block everyone who are in them.

Some tips on how to search on Bluesky (thread is in Swedish)

looks like graze.social makes it extremely easy to emulate the following feed of any other user on the network — see through someone else's "eyes" instantly! super cool

Tip of the day:

Labelers are not just for people affected what the labelers label.
The more people that help out with labels the more helpful a labeler will be to the people needing them.

Don't have any phobias?
Good for you and for people with phobias. Cause then you can help out with labeling.
