In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.

The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

Researchers have found that 6 of 10 abortion restrictions — bans on Medicaid funding for abortion, mandated waiting periods, 2nd-trimester abortion bans, ACA marketplace insurance coverage bans, biased counseling laws, and ultrasound requirements — were linked to higher rates of maternal mortality.
Laws restricting abortions linked to rise in 'abhorrently high' maternal mortality rates
Rising state-level abortion restrictions in the United States were linked to a similar, parallel rise in maternal deaths from 2005 to 2023, according to research presented at The Pregnancy Meeting. ...

Some serious school advice from someone who has a really hard time learning things:

Don’t study until you remember, study until you understand.

When you know why a thing is the way it is, you will have made way more connections to it, which will help lock in that information!

In at least 70,000 cases in 21 states, parents were referred to law enforcement agencies over allegations of substance use during pregnancy. In many cases, the referrals began with false positive results from flawed drug tests — sometimes triggered by the women’s prescribed medications.

The Marshall Project found more than 70,000 cases referred to law enforcement over allegations of substance use during pregnancy — and that’s a significant undercount.

Here's an inspiring story from Dr Emmanuel Ewagnignon, an Ob/Gyn from Benin.
"The women dying of unsafe abortion practices are our wives, our daughters, our sisters, our mothers. If the woman you love the most is in danger of losing her life, would you let her die?"
Facing the reality of unsafe abortions head on | Figo
For years in Benin, unsafe abortion was a silent killer. Every year, nearly 500 women and girls died – not from rare diseases or unavoidable complications, but from clandestine unsafe procedures carried out in secrecy and fear. Lives lost quietly, often unnamed. Dr Emmanuel Ewagnignon, President of the National College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians of Benin (CNGOB) saw the consequences firsthand.

Resistance matters. The global gag rule creates immense harm, and responding effectively requires action now. Here's 5 priorities: Resist over-compliance. Defend evidence. Use law and human rights as leverage. Shift the political cost and build alternative power. Organize collective resistance.
As the US exports ideological harm in health aid, here’s how to resist it
Opinion: As the Mexico City Policy expands, U.S. aid now polices values as well as services. Silence may feel strategic — but it’s already causing harm. Here’s a global health resistance agenda.
