Remembering all the stuff I fucking hate about existing right now isn’t entirely a great replacement for the anxiety attack which woke me up, so here are awesome mushrooms I saw Sunday.
Brown mushrooms grow from a log with dramatic white ones visible behind. Huge yellow brown mushrooms sprout from a fallen log Really big mushrooms with sort of convex caps, one fallen with a good view of the gills. I have exactly no clue what any of these are beyond cool looking.

A big, wide inked picture of all the sentient groups you're likely to run into in the Underdark, approximately in scale with each other (I got a couple really off based on what looked good, and forgot at least one). Left to right; jermelaine, gloura, svirfneblin, illithid, duergar, derro, kuo-toa, fomorian, drow, myconid, dark ones (dark stalker/dark creeper), pech, umber hulk, xorn, troglodite. A little inset shows the entire group compared to a huge aboleth.

In a now barren forest a ghoul priest of Yeenoghu the Beast of Butchery summons his master, who strides out of a glowing green portal, his dread flail raised high! Somewhere in Eberron, a goblin wizard and her warforged juggernaut companion spot the thing that’s haunted the ruins abandoned since the Last War, a warforged titan. Since warforged were supposed to be mindlessly loyal soldiers for a WWI analog, I wanted this one to reflect late WWI German uniforms. Somewhere in the woods two 1920s investigators run afoul of one of the infamous Dark Young, with bodily and sanity wrecking results.

A duergar noblewoman and her derro retinue explore ruins by a waterfall and a field of mushrooms, hiding from a trio of deadly floating beholders!

Deep beneath Lovecraft’s Dreamlands an enormous four armed monster with a vertical mouth - a Gug- ambushes a couple of ghouls foraging among underground mushrooms. The exact same picture, redrawn to make the ghouls more expressive and to get better flow in the gug’s pose.

Not really horror per se. Somewhere in the woods, a big warband of cranky Swedes yell at their creepy ass seidhcona to pull runes, assisted by a creepy seidhman, in front of a big bonfire. In a dark cavern, a fiendish jackal reports to his fiendish jackal queen, seated in a rock throne with a trophy giant serpent skeleton, and petting a jackal/hyena/fiend hybrid Deep underground, a human monk and dwarf ranger encounter horrible little spider-goblins among thick webbing. A brave half-elf fighter/mage splashes through fetid water littered by bones, lit only by spell-light. Somehow she's quite unaware of a giant annis hag creeping up behind her.

A "musketghost," a semi-corporeal musketeer with a ghost gun that fires ghost bullets with presumably ghost powder from uh, that's a LOT of "twelve apostles." No, I don't know why I made this dude's torso ultra long. Inspired by Powerwolf's "Moscow After Dark," two Muscovite streltzii with their bardyches attack a giant white furred werewolf/Silver Fang I know this is recent but I just love it so darn much. In a forest pervaded by green fog, a necromancer uses very green magic to raise the armored skeletons of long dead warriors. I had the "Green Ball" music from Heavy Metal on repeat a LOT while coloring this. A "forgedead," risen armored dwarf with fire in place of beard and hair.

Under a nearly full moon somewhere in the Carpathians, a noble vampire wearing blood-red armor and on a ghoul steed rides down a pallid nosferatu styled vamp. in an abstract landscape of orange and rolling fog, a four armed lich lord orders his subordinate undead to attack a huge armored hyena demon. In fallow fields under a dismal sky, an undead stone giant uses a magic rod of some sort to reanimate two other stone giants as zombies! At the heart of the labyrinth, among the many bones of past victims, two Mycenaean adventurers find themselves faced with a not particularly Hellenic looking minotaur, with skull face paint, shackles, a couple of decorative severed heads, and a really big glaive.

Somewhere in the Abyss, two adventurers (goliath paladin and dwarf wizard) are crossing a huge bridge when they are attacked by flying vrocks (vulture demons)
