Myself and junior chancing Brian May’s vocal and guitar parts in Queen’s Heaven For Everyone

The guitar solo in Queen’s Coming Soon has Brian May eviscerating the guitar. Sommuch attitude. UsingIK Multimedia ToneX and Raymon Guitars Red Special here.

The guitar break in Queen’s Sail Away Sweet Sister gets quite confusing diring the final harmony sections.

Using IK Multimedia #ToneX to get the amp sounds

A little bit of bowed guitar practice

The guitar solo from Queen’s Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy was too complex to render live so Brian May came up with this iteration. It’s still quite difficult!

A Queen deepcut to mark Brian May’s birthday- Ride the Wild Wind from Queen’s Innuendo album.

Fun fact. The first time Queen’s It’s a Hard Life was performed was 28 August 1984 in the RDS, Dublin.

I’m guessing the second time was our soundcheck in the same venue just now!

A rare victory!

I went back to school last year to study Artificial Intelligence.

I just got my results on my final project this evening.

I got a DISTINCTION!!!

I'm absolutely thrilled.

I have to say I can’t remember the last time I saw a gothic horror so well made. Nosferatu managed to shock and abhor in equal measure and still be quite beautiful.

The Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield are showing it on a 35mm print.

It’s so worth it.

Long story short. We were in the National Museum comparing middle English, old Irish and Norman French so now we’re at home and since she’s a native German speaker she’s comparing old English to German to hear how much she gets.

We are a family of nerds.

The famous @marshslibrary.bsky.social today

This is a guitarviol and this is one layer of a dozen used to recreate Brian May’s introduction to @queenband.bsky.social second album. The track is called Procession and was originally done with guitars.

Quite happy with how this turned out given how poor my bowing is presently.
Practice needed!

Expect lots of guitar solos from this orofile. Lots. Endless self indulgent guitar solos. Impassioned facial expressions. Gaudy colour grading. The Works.

We uave to make it work here. The headaches I get reading Twitter are intense. Here’s a lovely photo of my guitar.

That’s one of his would you believe? A sixpence! He very often uses his forefinger too. So many delightful details in his kit and style.

One of the (many) challenges impersonating Brian May is getting the gear right.

This little amplifier is a replica of one Queen’s bassist built.

It had a very full range sound for guitar and was used by Brian on many of his guitar orchestrations.

Video of me mauling it on my other networks soon
