My 6th grade science fair project was testing the water in a section of Rock Creek where we played in our neighborhood. E. Coli and so many nasty things found. Didn’t win the fair, but the families knew it wasn’t safe after that (1985). We were lucky we didn’t swim in it, just explore.

I have no doubt about that.

That’s how I feel about walking everywhere. Maybe it can take a smidge longer if I hit the pedestrian crossings at the wrong times, but even then it’s a minute or two difference.

Spent the grand stretch today organising my greenhouse, repotting plants to larger pots, and making sure they are tucked in & cosy in case of a late frost. Cannot wait to put them in the ground in a couple weeks. In the meantime, they’ll feel like they’re in the Canaries in there. 🏝️

Sounds lovely. We have sweet peas in our garden but don’t have a scent. But are so beautiful. I keep saying sill get an archway for them to climb on. Maybe this is the year. You’re inspiring me!
