The #1 way to explain America working properly is by saying “comedians can make fun of he President on TV.” A good way to explain fascism is “the President forces companies to fire those comedians as a condition of allowing them to conduct business.”

Like I said, mass firing 'probationary' employees (i.e., new hires) in the federal government means firing a lot of veterans, particularly disabled vets.

David Rice, a disabled Army paratrooper who had been a probationary employee since joining the U.S. Department of Energy in September, found out Thursday night he had lost his job. Rice, who worked as a foreign affairs specialist on health matters for the department relating to radiation exposure, said he had initially been led to believe that his job would be safe. But when he logged in for a meeting Thursday night, he saw an email saying he’d been fired. “It’s just been chaos,” said Rice, 50, who bought a house and moved to Melbourne, Florida, after getting the job.
