The seasons are very different here. February on the left and September on the right. We get 90+% our rain from December to April. By the end of June that right hand photo is how it looks until the rains start again. January through March are peak green.

Great White Shark (1st of 2) spotted along the Gaviota coast last night at a place I never thought to look for them. But on Sunday I talked to a National Geographic photographer there who said he was tracking them there with his drone. Sure enough, when I returned the next day and looked carefully ✅

Doing very minimal gardening today when I noticed that 2 of our 3 volunteer Gomphocarpus physocarpus plants (AKA "hairy balls" milkweed: not all milkweeds are Asclepias) were stripped bare of leaves & covered with some Monarch butterfly larvae (caterpillars). So I relocated them.
