Supporter of Scottish Independence and the creation of a fairer, more democratic republic of Scotland. My views expressed are my own.
If this is Scotland’s contribution to the “union of equals”, What is England actually contributing?
It appears England is running a deficit.

Highlander: people in Scotland aren’t immortal unless their heads are chopped off. And they don’t speak English with a French accent. And Spanish people generally don’t speak English with a Scottish accent. But other than that, it’s definitely historically accurate.

Worth reminding unionists of this ALL THE TIME.

Hahaha - if Scotland isn’t a viable standalone country, then England sure as hell isn’t.

Why is anyone in Scotland, still voting to support the union?
February 2, 2025 at 2:21 PM
See the graphic below.
It is obvious the Westminster government are trying to screw Scotland.

Genuine question to people in Scotland who still support the union - Why?

According to the Scotch whisky association, from today, the total tax take on every bottle of Scotch whisky sold in the U.K. is at least £12.
Then there is Scottish salmon, oil and gas from Scottish waters and electricity from hydro and onshore wind in Scotland.
What is England contributing?

It’s simply not in Westminster’s interest for this to happen.

Cheap electricity turbocharge’s the economy. The only argument Westminster has (albeit an invalid one) is that Scotland is economically too weak to be independent.

Remember Singapore: Westminster said the same thing.

Scottish Independence referendum: 2014
Brexit Referendum: 2016

“Now’s Not the Time”

England doesn’t get to decide to rejoin the EU unilaterally, the EU needs to agree to it.
England will need to adopt the Euro. At that point, the whole currency debate on Scottish independence disappears.

13 Jan - England is “exporting” electricity to France and Belgium.
WRONG: it’s forcing Scotland to supply England with cheap wind power which England then “exports” as its own. Westminster’s energy policy ensures Scotland remains isolated.
Resource colonialism.

Apparently Scotland shouldn’t be allowed to have any offshore wind factories, because the Chinese could take over the Grid. So says an 80yr old History graduate from England who is steeped in the British Establishment. Meanwhile, England are letting them own a share in a nuclear power station.🤣

During the break up of the UK, this graphic needs to be put in front of the arbiters and asked: How will the “economic loss due to Brexit” that Scotland suffered in comparison to N.Ireland, be compensated, due to the British establishments’ belligerence towards Scotland?

Climate change. It’s here now. And it’s only heading one way, because of our inability to respond in a joined-up manner.
Whether you personally get impacted at 1.5C, 2C, 2.5C, 3C….only time will tell.

To the electorate of England and Wales (the two countries in the U.K. that voted for Brexit).
This belongs to to you.
You need to own this.

Please advise the electorate in Scotland how you plan to fix this cock up?
(Northern Ireland got a special deal to stay part of the single market)
