There are literally less requirements to get into the white house then there are for me to rent a house.

Been playing a lot of solo Nusfjord lately. Never really thought solitaire #boardgames would be my thing, but this is pretty lovely (even though I'm high key trash at this game). And yeah - it really does fill a different niche than reading books or playing video games!

How am I so late to the Super Mario Odyssey party? This game's an absolute joy to play. 🎮

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

(1/2) Just finished The Crying of Lot 49 by Pynchon. For a 150-page book, this thing felt sprawling. It was dense and referential (I'm lucky if I understood 50% of the references) and the prose was dizzying.
I liked it well enough, but I now feel too dumb to try another book by this dude maybe ever.

Played a couple games of Lacuna last night. This game's a bit different from what I'm used to from #boardgames. The rules are dead simple, but the experience is almost more about staring into this deep, dark pool with glowing flowers... Feels like ART, man.

My brother just shared this nice essay on fascism by Umberto Eco with me. This is from 1995, the guy lived through WWII.

"Our duty is to uncover it and to point our finger at any of its new instances - every day, in every part of the world."
