I’m a teacher and by no means a Luddite, but from my vantage point, ChatGPT and the like have been catastrophic for student learning. It’s very bad on my end and I’m beyond concerned.

Teachers and schools need to know that we are not required to give up our kids. We do not have to open our doors to ICE or the police. Morally, obviously, but also legally. We are our students' legal guardians when they are in our care and we should be making the right call for students' safety.
