right because Burnes and Santander would be terrible contracts immediately. I understand it sucks losing Soto, there isn’t another one of him, but there are a ton of ways to win in baseball, Yankees have a ton of holes to fill and just showed us exactly how much they’re willing to spend to fill them

Only thing is the Yankees are endlessly frustrating with their prospects though so while I’d like to either bet on those two or predict they get traded for a bat now, you just can’t since they don’t treat them the way other organizations treat theirs.

Unless they can get him for some insanely cheap number, I dont think so. Every media member around the Yankees has spoken like theyre ready to move on from him. It would make sense to look for a short term deal for a better defender with Arias and Lombard both ~2 years away, maybe Kim?
