I have been playing a surprising amount of N64 games lately with the white version of this controller and really like it. Banjo-Kazooie just hits better with c-buttons.

I don't need another one but this color scheme looks really, really good.

saturation with Tolkien spinoffs has somehow not prepared our culture for the arrival of dark lords bearing a gift that everyone becomes convinced they can wield to accomplish great things but just makes them dependent and start whispering about preciouses if you suggest just throwing it away

I don’t have Half-Life 3, but I do have this picture I took of Randy Pitchford holding a copy of the cancelled Gearbox port of Half-Life for the Dreamcast, back in 2015.

I may be in the market for a new laptop in the future, but this thread makes me wonder if I need to finally make the leap to Linux.
Right now, talking to Copilot in Windows 11 is an exercise in pure frustration — a stark reminder that the reality of AI is nowhere close to the hype.

A hilarious, unexpected consequence of my six year-old watching the Mario Galaxy movie direct multiple times is that on more than one occasion he has randomly yelled out "He's Benny Safdie!" in Jack Black's cadence.
I have now been informed that he is more excited for the Mario Galaxy movie than Christmas. It is all I’m hearing about.

It might be a long five month wait.
My son has watched the Mario Galaxy Movie trailer twice and keeps saying he wishes it was out today.

Rebecca was one of the founders of Interplay and programmed & designed for some of the most influential games of my youth, notably Bard's Tale I & III and Wasteland. She will be missed.
My trailblazing game industry bad-ass friend Rebecca Heineman has passed away.

Fuck cancer.

Friends, let’s not forget her: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebecca...

I'm not exactly shocked about it, but Blue Prince not getting a GotY nomination is a crime.

. @giantbomb.bsky.social fans have donated literally thousands of dollars to make people dress in ridiculous costumes and make a man who is afraid of fruit drink an apple shot.

Sometimes the internet is good.
My friends at @giantbomb.bsky.social are gonna be live today raising money for Extra Life (for the kids!). Antics will likely ensue.

Chicago may experience less tear gas use as Operation Midway Blitz winds down. Cold and wet weather reduce effectiveness, while wind adds unpredictability.

I had a Star Fox watch like these that I’m only now learning we’re apparently part of a cereal deal. That’s not how I remember getting mine (I think I got it at some mom & pop store as a kid?), and now I’m wondering if I still have it in storage or if it’s long gone www.anthrofox.org/starfox/watc...

Looks like a lot of the Switch 1 playtime stats I somehow lost in a console switchover are really gone for good (I absolutely played more Breath of the Wild than this), but this is still neat. It’s cool that the 3DS stuff has persisted.

Shoot, I didn't even know my shop had gas control and cutting systems. Or that I had a shop. I'm glad this AI-powered offer for an Oxy-Fuel audit showed up just in time.

The world is littered with the skeletons of projects that began by somebody essentially saying, "Just do that thing that someone else makes money doing, but don't bother to understand it along the way."
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
