Taking care of my sister in law’s sweet dog while they’re on vacation. She’s been doing well (and she’s decided we’re best friends) but a loud storm came in tonight & scared her. I let her into the closet where our boxer used to hide. Just checked on her. She’s in his old spot. ♥️

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot is the hope that comes from upward mobility & how it ties to ownership. I’m a Dem Socialist & my personal beliefs have always been more aligned w/the Netherlands. My Dad & I used to argue over what he viewed as extreme but he also had upward mobility.

I very much believe this & have said as much many times. I’m considered mixed by Indian standards & was raised in a notoriously racist area. At school, I experienced hate but at home, I heard contradictions in bias.

This is a really good piece. Most of this we know, especially in respect to the blatant corruption. However, something I hadn’t considered was the oil & gas Oligarchs being held to account once we get ourselves out of this. I know the next part won’t come easy but collectively, we have power.

CPD “found no evidence of anyone struck” & “secured the area where the alleged shooting took place” so I’m pretty hesitant to believe this isn’t another lie. If this actually did happen, I’d imagine there’s video footage. Seems like it would be pretty easy to find proof of the phantom black jeep.

The Mandate of Heaven is really fitting here. How many people were convinced Trump was appointed by God? How many of those same people are now suffering b/c he, his administration, SCOTUS picks, etc. are ruling unjustly?

I love my city. Both of these are recent. We have 2 colleges & UNT isn’t extreme anything (obviously Paxton is a liar) however their music school is amazing. Yrs ago I was told 2nd to Juilliard for Jazz. Unsure of where they stand now but we have a lot of local musicians, old & new.

My husband put up the tree on Sunday. He’s Atheist but was raised S. Baptist & used to hate Christmas. I was raised Hindu/Sikh & always loved it. Over a decade ago I made him a spaghetti monster tree topper & said we should create our own traditions. Now he loves it & even bakes on Christmas day.
