Am I missing somewhere or did Dane County gain more democratic votes in 2024 compared to 2020 than any other county in the country? www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
2024 Election Voter Turnout Map: See Where Trump Gained and Harris Lost
Trump found new voters across counties and demographics to win the election. But Harris’s failure to match Biden’s 2020 performance was just as consequential.

Agreed. I've said publicly that I think that COVID-19 is now similar in terms of population burden to influenza.

People take this to mean that I think it's not an issue at all. Quite the opposite! Having influenza x2 is pretty shit and a big problem for us moving forward.
Just to reiterate:

“It’s just the flu” is something that no serious scientist or person in healthcare would ever say. Influenza is brutal and can kill people of any age. It’s awful. You don’t want it. Get your #flushot

"The flu sucks" is a perfectly good reason to get a flu shot.

(Not going to the hospital is nice too.)

And if the Trump administration won't persist in those cases, when will other organizations have standing — and resources — to step in?
A big question, particularly with RFK Jr.'s nomination to be Secretary of HHS: Will the Trump Administration defend the ACA's requirement to provide preventive services, including vaccinations? It's currently being challenged in the courts.

…diseases, it’s because of the NIH and the CDC. Make sure that every American is aware of this as Trump and RFK Jr. seek to destroy the infrastructure of these organizations.

Hashtags work and are an import part of how feeds pick up posts. Use them.

Use feeds, lists and starter packs to curate your experience. There is no default algorithm feeding you stuff so you need to do some work to make this place work for you.
