Later that morning, while out on training, the crew were diverted after a 999 call reported a kayak in difficulty south of the power station. A search was carried out and everyone was found safe.

Thankfully, the casualty was located and brought to safety by the police, and we were stood down shortly after midnight.

Midnight, Sat 6 Sept – Shout to a possible person in the water off Fortunes of War. Turned out to be a swim buoy, but buoy or boy, we always respond!
