As a perimenopausal woman with a wool allergy, it's hard to find good scarves, but I discovered this French scarf brand last year. They make 100% cotton scarves in a lovely range of colours and designs.

This cafe at Trinity Buoy Wharf in Docklands does an excellent all day veggie breakfast. You get a hash brown AND bubble and squeak!

Watching Tadej Pogačar win Il Lombardia. Bittersweet because the massive subscription hike means I can no longer afford to follow cycling in 2026.

A pub on a barge opposite the Victorian steamship SS Great Britain. Great food with a veggie focus and a great atmosphere for a Monday night when most places are dead.

I mean, during the Industrial Revolution/ Irish Potato Famine, ancestors of mine left Wales/ Ireland/ Kent for London, but that doesn't make me in any way Welsh, Irish or Kentish, or identify any more with those places and their heritage than, say, Latvia.
