My favourite thing about this picture of Mondo Duplantis breaking yet another pole vault world record is how absolutely THRILLED the official is. We'd all be that excited to be so close to greatness, let's face it.

The glorious megatherium (giant ground sloth) at Crystal Palace Park. It's been hidden behind foliage for years, but is now unveiled in all its glory.

Today's news has reminded me of the time we visited the Vatican and had the worst pizza of all time.

Yes, that is an entire tin of mini cocktail sausages.

Any time anyone says Italian food is the best in the world I think of this.
The worst pizza of all time in a glass cabinet in the Vatican cafe. The pizza is topped with an entire tin of mini cocktail sausages and some lukewarm chips. The kind you'd get in a British chippy, not even fries.

This weekend is the last chance to see the Winter Lights outdoor sculpture trail at Canary Wharf. I love a sculpture trail, and this was a really good one. Here are some of my favourites, taken last week.

The dark water of the dock in the centre of the picture. A circular white light sculpture suspended over the water.
