I don’t think that’s unique to EVs. I once hit a deer while a cop had me on speed radar in a Chevy Trailblazer. I saw him hiding so I was going exactly 35. Launched it into the air and then it jumped over a fence.

What they described is nonsense. Building an append-only ledger can be done 1000 ways that don’t involve a block chain. Discovering the last known state and having it take days is not a problem for which block chain is a solution. That just sounds like whatever system is not being used properly.

I’ve heard of people scoping out estate sales for this reason, and also power tools. If you want to buy a PhaseOne or a drill press for $200, that’s your shot.

I tweeted like 15 years ago that Hulu was hiring for their UX team based on my experience as a user. They still need help. If you have even a passing interest in the field you can probably email jobs at hulu, hr at hulu, something like that.
is there a reason why every single paid streaming service UI has only gotten incredibly worse and less usable over time
