@occtranspo.bsky.social Query for you. Is timing data publicly available from OC Transpo or Transit? I’d like to look at one route in particular.

@bikeottawa.bsky.social I was just reading the article in the Kitchissippi Times about the new cycling app but the app itself is not named.

@lainejohnson.bsky.social @seandevine9.bsky.social Great interview this morning Laine. Your note of the vicious cycle is a perfect summary that many more need to hear. I hated the question of “it will cost $” from the host (lazy!). Let’s remove right on reds and slip lanes!

On Friday, I had my first ever piece in a real art show!

"Archie" is currently on display at Cotton Factory - and you can come and see it for Doors Open Hamilton on May 3rd and 4th.

Ottawa messed up the Elgin Street redevelopment.
Following a transformation of St. Denis St. in 2020 that saw a reduction in vehicles lanes in favor of safer pedestrian crossings, outdoor dining and an extension of their REV bike network, pedestrian traffic increased 65%+, bike traffic increased 250%+ and 37+ new retailers opened.

@brigittepellerin.bsky.social Wanted to let you know, I had students write letters to the editor about Byward Market. To prep, we looked at your column about teenagers and the space. Long story short, the Citizen is printing a bunch of their letters and Bruce Deachman is coming to chat with them.

Cars are to cities what cigarettes were to restaurants.

Many thought they had to coexist but once we finally removed them we wondered, why did we take so long to do this? The pros did outweigh the cons.

OC Transpo math failure.

In a 90 minute window I don’t have the ability to commute home and pick the kid up from daycare. Is that last tap at $4 worth it for a 1km ride? Nope.

So the premiers blame the PM for provincial issues but now one of them wants to have an election because of a federal issue?

Why is it that those who call the loudest for more policing also speak out against speed cameras at the same volume?

Any ideas on how on a mic/speaker setup I could use with my young one while they’re in the Thule carrier behind the bike?
