1. No writers makes money selling books. A minimum wage job worked for the same number of hours would earn far more

We watched Fritz Lang's THE BLUE GARDENIA (1953) last night -- a tight, fun little thriller, with a charming cameo from
Nat King Cole no less! Alas, not among my top Blues (Velvet, Betty, Brothers, Three Colours, Sunshine). The journey continues. 💙
