I don’t think there’s any question: head on.
The Democratic Party won the New York City mayoral election and gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey. But questions remain over strategy and how best to take on President Trump.

Shirley Aldebol was both lovely to work with and extremely competent in my time at SEIU 32BJ. Delighted she’s stepped up to take back a council seat off the Republicans. She will be a great representative for the Bronx.

Breaking news: California voters approved a congressional map that could give Democrats up to five more House seats, countering Texas’s GOP-favored redistricting in a nationwide battle over district lines. https://wapo.st/3WYEm2h

“I wish Andrew Cuomo the best in private life” is one of the coldest shivs the guts one could deliver in a victory speech. And a shiv well earned.

@dannybkelly.bsky.social Best touristy thing you can do in NY is go to Katz’s - it’s actually really good. Bring cash.

Andrew Cuomo resigned as NY Governor because of 11 sexual harassment allegations. He says he did nothing wrong. But he resigned. If he’s right (he’s not), and he can’t stand up for himself under pressure, how can he be trusted to stand up for New Yorkers against Trump and under intense pressure?

I can’t bet on the #nfldraft in NY State, but if I could I would throw a tenner on Shadeur Sanders being drafted by Miami today. He suits their game style and provides cheap starter-level cover for Tua. The Fins also have plenty of picks to come to cover off their other needs like safety.

My favorite #nfldraft by teams through two days:

- Arizona: They’ve turned an erratic D into an above average D in 2 days. Impressive.

- Baltimore: As always. Starks and Green at value positions improve their D for their divisional battle with Cincy.

- Denver: Barron a stud, Harvey suits them.

What do I think about the @chicagobearsnews.bsky.social picks so far?

- Liked Loveland more than Warren as a TE, and while I don’t love using a top 10 pick on TE (I’d have gone Mykel Williams), I do get letting Ben Johnson cook.

- Liked the trade back, got excellent draft capital and options.

A quick look at possible #nfldraft 4th round landing spots for Shadeur Sanders coming up:

- Raiders at 4.6 or 4.33
- Jets at 4.8
- Panthers at 4.12 or 4.20
- Dolphins at 4.14
- Colts at 4.15
- Steelers at 4.21
- Rams at 4.25

I find it very amusing that Bluesky’s “NFL Draft” feed is full of posts about the election of a new pope.

(Presumably because they all reference “the Cardinals.” Seriously.)

We’ve officially moved from “potential constitutional crisis” to an absolutely undeniable constitutional crisis. The Feds are refusing to comply with a Supreme Court order, and a court is only as strong as its ability to enforce its decisions. The Feds believe they can now do anything, to anyone.

@robertmays.bsky.social @qbklass.bsky.social It’s obviously a bit awkward right now, but Justin Tucker is a future HOFer you missed who played last year.

@qbklass.bsky.social @robertmays.bsky.social Controversial last “can’t miss” prospect for my point of view: Trevor Lawrence. Don’t think he’s any further down the QB pecking order than say Kyle Pitts is down the TE one, and at a much higher draft and salary cost.

Absolutely no mention of additional zoning reforms or anything about bolstering housing production other than 'experts say more production helps to lower costs.' It's honestly disappointing for a former HUD chief and governor, who's spent 30 years on these issues -- drive.google.com/file/d/1HyUV...
