I grew with the "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner (a la the Rockwell painting), but my BIL is from the south but ALSO the son of a South Korean mom, so last year we had a smoked turkey, gochujang glazed pork belly "burnt ends", and egg rolls alongside the stuff I grew up eating. It was glorious!

Did you sear it first? Pork tenderloin is still slept on, in my opinion. My parents used to marinate pork tenderloin medallions in teriyaki, grill it on skewers and serve with grilled pineapple chunks and rice.

If you do that and do a special Penn State fan episode of "We're Not All Like This" I will gladly become a paid subscriber. I will probably become a subscriber anyway, but why risk that, Ryan?!?!

I grew up in PA and never knew it was a thing before I met college friends from the south. My brother-in-law is from NC, so we now have it every year. I just prefer all of the OTHER starchy sides that I only normally get on Thanksgiving.
