"I can't believe The New York Times did this" Trans kids? Claudine Gay? Gaza? At some point we have to stop being surprised. The right sees the Times as a vehicle for laundering its conspiracy theories and injecting it into elite America and the Times is very happy to oblige them.

Everyone who follows me should call their Senator this morning to urge them to vote in favor of Wyden’s point of order and remove the Medicaid funding ban for transgender care from Trump’s horror bill.
Today, senator Ron Wyden will raise a point of order to remove the Medicaid and CHIP ban on gender affirming care. The Republicans need 60 votes to keep it in but they only have 53. Call your Dem senator today and urge them to vote to strip the ban from the bill. Senate switchboard 202-224-3121.

The New York Times has been misleading readers about the state of youth gender medicine and the evidence behind it for years now. Tomorrow they're releasing a podcast on the topic and there's no reason to believe it will be any better than their previous work.

When the Cass Review came out last year, the NYT rushed to cover it complete with post notifications. After reviews in Germany and Utah came out supporting gender affirming care for trans youth, dead silence. You can be just as biased in what you don't cover as what you do.

I visited Nottaway as a kid - most people in my area of Louisiana did, I think, we lived not far from it growing up.
