To ratchet up pressure on the GOP, we’re rolling out billboards in key districts that call House Republicans out by name for backing Trump’s shutdown. We’re making sure constituents in these districts know their GOP representatives are siding with Trump over working families. Pitch in if you can.

VANCE: ProPublica is basically a left-wing blog

Best piece I've read so far on Dem strategy for the shut down fight this month. The one thing I'd add is this: Dems need to state their demands ASAP. Last time they promised they had a plan...and then they surrendered at the last minute. Say what you're fighting for! bsky.app/profile/jenr...
Ds should insist on a floor vote in both houses with no D assistance, on Rs’ CR. When it fails, voter'll know who to blame if the govt shuts down. That should also help focus everyone: What do Ds want in exchange for bailing out Rs’ from their utter incompetence?

About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”

Republicans are in charge. It's their job to pass a budget and avoid a shutdown this month.

Two things the budget needs to address: stop the health care premium increases coming this fall, and assure Trump actually implements the budget we pass.
