of course, there may be no reason to worry about trumps exec actions impacting grad admissions when I just might lose my hrt, passport, god knows what else. I wanted to only worry about the normal things but it seems the horrible worry of our country's politics has caught up to me.

I'm becoming really concerned that Trumps actions are impacting funding for graduate students, hurting my chances of being accepted into the programs I applied to. This would explain why at least one program is late in getting back to people. (among all the other horrible things he's doing, I know)

grad cafe is down again but before it went dark it stopped showing all admissions results for my program save one from F2020. How am I supposed to freak out the correct way when now I have to freak out this other way? I want more information to stress over, not less.

suddenly my fb feed is flooded with obviously ai pictures of cartoonish gay couples from bizarrely named pages. I'm sure this is facebook rolling out it's ai content feature. they've identified me as one of them queers and think this will, what, keep me engaged with the platform? ai was a mistake

it's so nice when I have a chance to make it down into town on a day off. going in to town on a work day is whatever, but on days off I can go to a coffee shop, stop at a restaurant, etc. today is the first day I've had sushi since moving to CA a year ago. Living on a farm is great, just isolating
