tens of millions seems like a huge underestimate
At least 20 people who have received clemency from President Trump so far this year were also forgiven of financial penalties totaling tens of millions of dollars.

Some of these offenders owed money to real-life victims of fraud.
Trump’s pardons wipe out payments to defrauded victims
In addition to clearing prison sentences, the president’s clemency actions have erased millions in restitution payments.

NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇

For those wondering what the law says about changing the design of the White House. Warning: History incoming. 🗃️
We’ve received a lot of questions about Trump’s demolition of the White House East Wing.

Here’s how the process is supposed to work:

Honoring Ashli Babbitt Dishonors the Military
If there’s no difference between upholding the Constitution and attacking it, then there’s no honor in service.

Meteorologists now face a Trump ‘loyalty test’ when applying to National Weather Service jobs
After firing hundreds of meteorologists, the National Weather Service announced it is filling vacant positions. Applicants are being asked to detail their support for Trump’s policies.

Ashley Babbit dishonored her service by committing insurrection against her country. While her death is absolutely tragic and I wish it hadn’t happened, the Air Force giving her honors is in itself a dishonor.

#Steelers last year were so much better, on paper, than the previous year. Results were what they were… not certain I see any improvement to look forward to this year.

Part of what's driving the Trump Admin's attacks on NOAA is they want to privatize the National Weather Service.

They made it clear in Project 2025 — instead of weather forecasts & climate data being a public good, they want to sell it to the highest bidder.

A corrupt bargain.

If statues were history, we'd have statues of Benedict Arnold at Richmond, VA (which he sacked while fighting for the British). No, statues are praise.

Confederates were slavers, traitors, and losers.
No statues for them.

No country honors those who tried to destroy it by naming military bases after them. The Confederates fought against the United States—they shouldn’t be celebrated or memorialized by our military. It’s time for this to end.
