Casual reminder that not a single career has ever been made at a holiday party, but many have been derailed. An early Irish exit is the move. To another bar. Without work people.
In many ways Lando’s made me a Verstappen fan as much as Verstappen himself.

Mean Green football team are 10-1.

I like the way UNT messes around a bit and then opens the throttle all the way.

Texas and A&M having to play each other on the last game of season for a spot in the conference champ game the past two seasons is an absolutely incredible revival of the rivalry.

10-0 A&M playing 1-10 Samford in late November is weird. Samford may not have a single yard in this game. Aggies would have been better off scheduling a game against themselves.

There’s a full line at the donut shop and some MF just walked up and goes “I don’t know, what do you recommend?”

So the owner says “Our blueberry cake donuts are very good!” and the guy goes “Ah, that’s the thing: I don’t really like cake donuts.” and I sighed so loudly everyone turned around.

Banjo is such a wonderful and preposterous instrument.

My controversial college football take is that three-loss teams shouldn’t be in the playoff conversation in any serious capacity. Two-loss teams can freely state their case, but only respectfully and without a sense of entitlement whatsoever; you’re still lucky to be there.

I just paid $33 for a rice football game ticket. I dont want to brag, but I think that’s the most anyone has ever spent on a rice football game in history.

So sick of seeing Go Fund Me accounts for cancer patients. Our society is fucking broken. Cancer is hard enough without the threat of bankruptcy. People hide symptoms and die so as not impoverish their families. And we call this a “developed nation”

If Texas ends the season 9-3 (also improbable — but far more probably than Texas Tech winning a championship), which includes 3 wins over top-ten teams, 2 losses to top-ten teams, and 1 dumb loss, what kind of season is that? A failure? A soft shoulder shrug?

Improbable but the funniest possible outcome by far.

Is Mercer going to beat Auburn this weekend? Many people are asking. (Mostly myself. I am the one who is asking.)

First stop: Rice. Bout to stuff some nerds into lockers. [Rice is a very fine institution and we love it thusly and are deeply proud of the contributions it makes to our fine city.]

"Things happen" sometimes, like when you walk into an embassy to apply for your marriage license while your bride-to-be waits outside, but then you get bonesawed to pieces for having exercised freedom of speech as an US-based journalist and have to be carried out in a series of suitcases.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Measured, less emo take is this is a young team that shows flashes of an ability to be really good.

Congrats to Georgia for playing a perfectly clean, penalty-free game, thus far. 🙄
