There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

Mamdani is going to impose shillelagh law. Everyone must carry a stout stick and start down the rocky road to Dublin.
Mamdani is going to impose shangri-la law. Everyone will be blindfolded and forced to play Marco Polo
Mamdani gonna implement Shaaloani law. All disputes settled via shootout duels using non-lethal rounds with all the authenticity of a spaghetti western directed by Japanese anime enthusiasts.

Didn't get Raptured yesterday, but that's OK, because I have some nice pears I just bought, and I would hate for them to go to waste.

- Had friends over for dinner
- Drank iced tea (rare caffeine for me)
- Had the first big high-sugar dessert I've had in weeks
- Guests leave
- I put on music playlist my kids made me for Mothers' Day this year (best gift!)
- Dance around the kitchen like a DERANGED PERSON

The dogs now fear me

A couple years ago, I was talking a lot about board games and comics and my dog and kayaking and now every time I post about anything but the upcoming apocalypse, I feel like I am being an utter doofus.

We still have to post about happy stuff sometimes, right?

It’s easy and reasonable to note the horror of the Trump regime evil. But it’s necessary to also note that a healthy republic doesn’t collapse into fascism overnight. This is the path America has been in at least since 9/11/2001. This police state wasn’t birthed full born from Zeus’ forehead.

Any garden-experts out there want to help me ID it?

this is an all hands on deck situation. the enemy got results with 1000 phone calls.

we can beat them

When I see people talking shit about events like this, the main impression I get is that some people cannot stand people doing things different than the thing they are doing.

This site may seem a little silly, but it's a very clever way to make yourself think through solutions when maybe you're in a situation where that feels like a chalkenge.

From an engineering and public policy perspective, the vast majority of deaths in Natural Disasters can be prevented by better infrastructure, policy, and planning.

Every time I hear some leader (like Governor Abbot of TX) say something like, "All we know is that prayer does work," I want to vomit.

Google must have recently had a new (cursed) update. It created a calendar of birthdays for everyone in my Contacts address book, and started sending me chiming phone notifications a week before and a day before each one.

My contacts has people I haven't seen for decades. NO
