I’ve always wished for something like my favourite bar in Toronto (circa 2008)—The Rex. They’d have student bands on in the early evening, nearly every day, then around 8pm they’d collect a fee for the night’s main band.

I kinda dropped off community radio in general after Jazz On Saturday with Steve Robertson went away; good call to renew my listening (obviously there are more jazz shows than just that one!).
