you really can't underestimate how little voters understood what they were voting for in 2024
70-something rural voter I talked to this evening in the general store in the town of 50 people where I live:
"We shouldn't be sending money to all these people overseas who hate us, but it's ridiculous to cut staff at our park. It's the lifeblood of our community. You need more people, not less!"

“People voted for Trump based on their recall of the 2017-2020 economy—stimmy and superdole included—and simply did not encounter and/or believe reporting about his plans to be a dictator” fits the available facts much better than “a plurality of Americans voted for Trump to be a dictator.”

Just finished the season finale of Severance and.....yeah I need to just go to bed. That episode will be running through my mind for a while. I'm some combination of angry, sad, and disappointed but what amazing television. #Severance
