LOL I'm not sure, I just remember going to a lot of discos as a kid - seeing people wearing glitter and purple wigs was big back then!! Should be brought back imo. I meant they're things you resonate with, not like emblematic of your whole personality. not like the ss joker with a "damaged" tatt 😭

also I haven't heard that tswift song before - Karma is probably my fave of hers!

i did play a little DDR as a kid, but the real answer is I was a bit of a party animal and went to a lot of discos where that song got a lot of air time. Like most of us I peaked at 9 lol. do you feel the tattoos you have aren't things that are part of your personality? Lyrics you resonate with etc?

I would be remiss to not mention this scene from Borzage's Bad Girl with James Dunn - and how similar it is to the scene with Gary Cooper - right down to the subject matter, the articulation of shame and gaze aversion at the end, of an attempt to hide after being so vulnerable.

How he looks self consciously around and bites into the brioche at the end is so true to form in reflecting how exposed we feel when we cry in public. The soft tone of voice, the desperation, the struggle to articulate his thoughts, and the shame at being vulnerable.

if you were only allowed to get one song that sums up your entire personality, what would it be? I'd go for Heaven by Dj Sammy or Thinkin Bout You by Frank Ocean ngl

too bad we can't get tattoos of songs where you press the skin and it plays a small snippet of your fave tune!! I would be covered with so many songs, not even lying

super cool, the sentiments behind both are definitely worth getting tatted 😊 showing more affection to others is cool actually :)

Yesss BBS is elite, the Wheel Master theme lives rent free in my head. DUDE that's so cool, what kinda font did you get it in? I love the lyric right after that "Regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare me at alllll" :) Aqua's wayfinder looks awesome as well!! 🙏

ooh which part of Simple and Clean did you choose? I'm not a huge KH fan but I was obsessed with Birth by Sleep on psp, and the intro lives rent free to this day

Talmadge has aura so powerful she can break the sound barrier and make Godzilla evaporate with a single kick
January 27, 2025 at 11:41 AM
Don't ask why I spent 20 mins making this. A video nobody has ever made before or asked to make, but Norma Talmadge and Godzilla kinda work as dance partners 💀
January 27, 2025 at 11:41 AM
Norma doing her dance routine at the start of Borzage's The Lady next to Godzilla hitting the griddy (sentences nobody has ever written before)

Most of the people writing puff pieces about Borzage only talk about the films that have been ruminated on already by dozens of other people. No love for The Lady? Humoresque? Back Pay? Those films are just as formative for his emotional vision (if not moreso) than 7th Heaven.

Thinking on it now, there definitely is a lot of connective tissue linking youthful patriotism, military ventures and a focus on decaying morality - from very early on in Humoresque to his military musicals, Little Man What Now? and No Greater Glory. Reply if you want to be tagged in it
