Been messing with Cloudflare Workers after reading @boristane.bsky.social boristane.com/blog/what-ar...
Delighted to find how easy it is to implement granular api throttling: developers.cloudflare.com/workers/runt... Something I've wished I could do with Cloudfront Functions for some time.

This is an EXCELLENT write up on Cloudflare Durable Objects by @boristane.bsky.social.

Took me a while to 'get it's as well, but once you do it's genuinely the coolest cloud service to be released in years. So many applications.

I joined Cloudflare to build this. It’s still very early, and there’s lots still missing, but I hope the vision is clear.

The "use tail sampling for your traces" advice should probably also come with a strong "you must be this tall to ride this ride" caveat

Simple if you have a monolith, challenging if you have a cluster of microservices, jesus take the wheel if you have geo-distributed traces crossing regions

this is extra nice
"k9s but for Cloudflare"

Started building my own version of k9s not tied to kubernetes, I love this kind of textual UI, some more CF Workers features, now working on log streaming, Vercel support next 🚀

So far, it has been a pleasure to work with @ratatui.rs even if my Rust is a bit rusty 👀

thread on how we built real-time logs in the developer plat with just durable objects 😁
real-time logs for cloudflare workers has a new look 👀 you can now search and filter your real-time logs the same way you do with workers logs. here's a bit on how the Workers Observability team (h/t Maksym Makuch) built this (1/3)

call you cf workers directly from claude

this is interesting
Been working on making it possible to connect Claude Desktop to a Cloudflare Worker using the new MCP spec, and it works!

You write some functions in a Worker, document them with JSDoc, and then they show up in Claude for you to use. It's kinda magical.

Loving this intro to wide events from @boristane.bsky.social

Wide events provide deep context into system behavior and can replace redundant tools in the org. I'm a big fan of going to observability tools first over product analytics. There's more info and now everyone is looking at the same graph.

@boristane.bsky.social cloudflare logs is, by far, the best working product within cloudflare. I hope your team can also fix error tracking, which is almost impossible to set up correctly :)
