Bread baking was a bit disrupted as I was on the phone dealing with customer service bs but I did manage to grab a pic. Only after I inhaled a fresh buttered slice of pure bready comfort. Harvest bread with poolish. My favorite so far. I think I’ll experiment with more whole wheat though. #breadsky

Today in baking misadventures a small scale malfunction caused a major cascade failure in my brain and whoops! Super over-hydrated dough. Obviously being too stubborn to scrap the puddle of wheat, I made focaccia. Not great to look at but actually tastes good. Even mediocre bread is bread! 🍞

Baked some buns today for salmon burgers. Realized I cannot divide equally by eyeball. Maybe I need to do it by weight next time. Math I can do!

Starting my bread baking adventure about four years after everyone else in the world. The benefit is there is so much helpful advice out there. We even did a gluten free loaf for my celiac husband that was very good. Having a lot of fun.
