I'm generally a good, quiet neighbor. But every now and then "Fortuosity" from The Happiest Millionaire (1967) comes up on the playlist, and suddenly I'm belting high notes at the top of my voice.
With apologies to the neighborhood, it's simply impossible not to. 🤷♀️

Van Heflin should be better known. Tall, broad shouldered, handsome but not glamorous, equally believable as a philosophical autodidact or a plain spoken working stiff who just wants to get paid and laid. There's an angry, resentful edge to him that is perfect for film noir and procedurals.

This isn’t the female gaze. This is the male gaze. It’s men who are obsessed with the physicality of other men. Women, in the main, would much rather see a man who looks like he’d make himself a stack of buttered toast and let you steal a slice

We're getting horror movie previews year-round now, so NO ONE can complain when I start decorating for Christmas in October and keep it going through February. The world is broken, and I need therapy and this to survive the sudden nightmare fuel during the ad breaks of my cozy tv shows.
