He looks so panicked & terrified to have to be around all those hoodlums on the mean streets of DC, doesn’t he?🙃🤣🤣🤣

Rep. Adam Smith: "Look, it's pretty clear the president wants his own domestic police force and step by step he's trying to create it. We should be deeply alarmed by that regardless of how you feel about crime in DC or any other city ... it's a huge step toward an autocratic government."

Whether you are from Hawai’i or South Carolina, we are bound by our love for the land.

Despite our differences, we love our families.

Regular hard working people don’t want to profit off our beloved land, we just want to live on it.

Finished last night. This version published in 1960 by Pocket Books has such a cool, pulpy cover. Originally published in 1939.

1/2 They’re not just making videos. They’re sounding the alarm.

Because the threat to American freedom isn’t just creeping in through politics—it’s marching in robes and crosses, cloaked in Christian nationalism, hell-bent on turning pulpits into pulpits of power.

This isn’t faith. It’s fanaticism

NIH is an amazing institution with first-rate scientists and we're losing them + valuable research and innovation because of schmucks like Vought who lie their a**es off in service of an agenda.
this is not just a laughable farce of an argument from Vought, but if the NIH actually were a corporation that produces that much world-leading research & output, its stock price & valuation would *EASILY* make it one of the most valuable institutions on the planet.
TAPPER: 14 Republicans say you're risking undermining critical research by holding up NIH funding

VOUGHT: If they were a company, their stock price would in shambles. They in some respects caused the pandemic. You have an entire institute that does nothing more than DEI research at the NIH.

The real smash and grab…

🚨 Social Security is on the chopping block.

Thanks to Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” retirees are now staring down $18K/yr benefit cut in just seven years.

• The poverty rate for seniors will double

Billionaires got their tax break, though.

Watch every second of this.

Our worst fears are here. With Trump’s new bill, the police state is no longer looming—it’s official.

Expect more raids on a massive scale, shattered families, and a brutal crackdown on humanitarian protections.

The novel that pretends to be a biography of its own author after his death; a story in the form of a report on Earth by aliens; a book that runs backwards and forwards; one that runs entirely backwards; and more.

By 2029 the GOP may have entrenched their coup by "legal" methods

Gerrymandering-permitted by MAGA judges

Changes in citizenship laws and deportations

Quashing dissent by jailing protesters

And radical "interpretation" of the Constitution

We still don't fully comprehend the danger America faces
"Unlike January 2021 — when the Big Lie scheme failed — by 2029 Trump and his cohorts will have new tools to carry out a coup, including a massive federal police force with a proven willingness to engage in systemic illegality at Trump's behest."
The emerging coup
