Watching a proper Christmas movie.

My youngest wanted to follow my drawing instructions for a picture. My picture and hers respectively.

My popcorn is better but her moon is fantastic.

Dead Heat On A Merry-Go-Round (1966) is such a mess. It’s a heist film staring James Coburn; it should be great if not enjoyable.

It’s such a muddled mess of a film.

Showed my wife The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and she loved it! It’s so good and we both cried at the end.

Finally caught up with Materialists, and while it’s got a few pieces that don’t work as well as I’d like, I completely adore it.

Jingle Bell Heist (Netflix) has a half decent script but the execution is so flat and boring. Also, all the twists that absolve the characters of any wrong doing, are telegraphed in neon.

I really wanted to like it but it was, ultimately, a very frustrating watch.

But who will save us from the Cocaine sharks and Octopi?!

comics are important and we should think of them as a part of a balanced literary diet

Well, really put off by A House of Dynamite. Whole lot of well acted and directed bluster.

At what point do we learn that before Treadstone there was a Crystal Lake project and that Jason Voorhees was the original Jason Bourne.

Watching The Pajama Game and every other song seems to be a variation on ‘I’m so horny and if I don’t fuck right now I’ll explode.’

The Midnight Hour 1985

This tv movie centers around a group of kids who find an ancient scroll and use it to wake the dead. It’s a fun Halloween watch that’s great for budding horror kids.

MJ's @alexmiller16mm.bsky.social thinks you should do yourself a favor and watch THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE this Halloween season.

#TheLittleGirlWhoLivesDownTheLane is now streaming on various platforms.
THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE is a Hitchockian Halloween thriller — Moviejawn
by Alex Miller, Staff Writer  One of the scariest things about the movie is coded in the title. Is there anything more creepy than putting the word "little" in front of "girl?"

When Eight Bells Toll 1971

A serviceable spy thriller that was intended to fill the Bond space after Connery left the franchise.

The movie ends with the Fem Fatal calling Anthony Hopkins a ‘professional bastard’ which is a better name for a franchise.
