Honestly, the story of founding EPSS as a non-profit alternative to EPSA shows it's clearly possible for colleagues in the same field to coordinate and act collectively. The same can be done about switching from for-profit to non-profit journals and reorienting the library resources to support them.

📢 Since launching EPSS in June 2025, we’ve been thrilled by the positive feedback from across the political science community.

Now that Call for Papers for EPSS Conference in Belfast has closed, we want to share the response has been extraordinary!

Here is some info on the tool from its co-creator:
Refine catches issues like
- wrong internal references (you wrote Table 2 but meant Table 3)
- mathematical reasoning errors
- errors in applying econometric methods.

It differs from popular tools like ChatGPT in that the output is more thorough (whole paper at once) and more accurate.

Looking at how my number of emails has exploded since I started a postdoc, I will try doing this too 🙏

There are things like "we have to cancel today's meeting / lunch / seminar" that are the reason why I feel it is reasonable to keep checking emails if you have those things scheduled later in the day.

Finally, huge congrats, Luis! I hope you're now free to join more social events at LSE so that we can celebrate 🙂
