Terrible headline: “The Supreme Court won’t hurt America by striking down the tariffs”. More accurate: Supreme Court striking down tariffs won’t hurt America. First version implies the Court won’t strike down tariffs.

A good idea for planning a 2028 run.
I think a great platform for a 28’ presidential race, is to take each line item of Project 2025 and not only reverse it but strengthen it.

Oh cuts to education and weather services? Nope we bring those back and double their budget!

Oh tax cuts to the wealthy? We’re gonna tax their asses off!

Here’s what the Senate bill will do to taxes.
The Joint Committee on Taxation is up late and busts out this striking distributional analysis of the Senate bill on taxes:

I have literally never seen a graph like this once in all my years of being an election sicko

18-24 always lags, always, it’s just a natural law of politics

and this is the guy they want to throw out of the party?!

Omg
I need all of #lawsky to see this video from a Colorado appeals court livestream yesterday. I am in actual tears. Sound *incredibly* on, the subtitles will not help.

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

Amazing how incompetent the remaining DOJ lawyers are.
So, uh, it certainly looks like DOJ intended to file a letter to Judge Liman in MTA v. Duffy, but….it accidentally filed a letter containing its legal advice to the Department of Transportation instead

This is fucking vile.
Pledging to defend the Constitution right before the country you were about to become a citizen of unconstitutionally detains you

If I were Judge Xinis, I would order the government to produce, in her courtroom, officials who were in a position to answer her questions and to do so under oath.

Letting DOJ continue to prevaricate and deflect responsibility in written submissions seems ... insufficient at this point.

Important thing about this jaw-dropping story is that even if Jeff Goldberg hadn't been invited into the chat, Hegseth was sending out detailed military stuff over a civilian app that *even the other people in the conversation probably didn't need to know about*

"Need to know" means "need."

You cannot fire so many people and shutter so many agencies and services and not expect things to start to go very bad very quickly.

Our job is to highlight not only the chaos and cruelty of the firings, but also the devastating consequences.

The public must turn on this madness and soon.

I am aware your pollsters and consultants tell you things like “the American people want us to work together” and “ focus on prescription drug prices in the economy.”
