It’s telling that the first trials of “magic pixie” AI in the public sector are being carried out by undervalued staff working with those already marginalised by society.

Personally I’d make MPs use it for claiming expenses.

First impressions with Google Gemini AI chatbot. It does not know what information it has access to. Its pre-programmed responses to questions about its training set are in conflict with the results it provides. Should be fun to see how this evolves.

Finding coming to BSky a bit like landing in New York. I navigate London effortlessly every day but sometimes need a sec to find my bearings in a new city. I didn't leave X because I hated it; more on principle. I'll find my feet here - currently feeling like a bystander and not active contributor.

So much techno-utopianism about AI, particularly from @InstituteGC, in recent months.

Even the tiniest amount of experience of delivering digital/data/AI systems in the public sector would reveal it's a bit more complicated than that.
