There is indeed a Tardis (of #DoctorWho fame) seen in every shot of the entangled USS Enterprise inside the Scavenger ship in #StarTrekSNW's "The Selat WHO Ate Its Tail". Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey, indeed! :-)

The Mission: Impossible rewatch continued with both Rogue Nation and Fallout.

Both deal with The Syndicate, arms dealers, and the mysterious John Lark.

How many times can Ethan Hunt be betrayed by his own government before he just gives up?

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 19

I watched Predator: Killer of Killers.

This anthology movie brings all the stories together in the third act, creates a sequel to Prey and unlocks so much potential for future Predator movies.

Also, Michael Biehn has now faced a Terminator, an Alien and a Predator!

I watched M☰GAN. (Why does everyone call it M3GAN when it's quite clearly titled M☰GAN on screen?)

What does that have to do with animals you ask?

Well, no spoilers but it's a reference to M☰GAN's first victim!

I watched Enter the Dragon and was surprised to see John Saxon!

You can see the influence this had on everything that followed it.

A criminal organises a tournament for the best fighters in the world. This is a better Street Fighter movie than Street Fighter!

I watched TÁR, which was nominated for several awards including best film and best actress.

Lydia Tár is also the best conductor at the same time as being an awful human being!

This film isn't for me, but I can see how good it is.

I went to a screening of Clue, which actually contains 6 inanimate objects used as murder weapons!

I love the fact that everyone describes this film as fun, because it is!

Should have worn my maids outfit to the screening 😜

I watched Violent Night because watching Christmas movies in April is totally acceptable.

Like all the best Christmas movies, it ends in a fiery explosion.

The most unbelievable thing in this movie is the empty pub in Bristol on Christmas Eve!

In preparation for The Final Reckoning, I rewatched the Mission: Impossible films, including Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, which was directed by Brad Bird.

That counts for the Bird challenge, right?

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 12

As noted, sin is a mathematical term, so I watched Sinners.

I made the extra effort to watch it in IMAX 70mm, and it was well worth it.

The best film of 2025 so far, and it features one of the best scenes put to film in recent years.

Highly recommend!

The most annoying thing about the whole Katy Perry thing is that 12 minutes is plenty of time for the entire population of the planet to put on an ape costume and take part in the best practical based joke of all time!!!

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 11

I watched Annihilation because it was leaving Netflix after 7 years!

It's about an all female team who investigate an anomaly.

I can't tell you how many survive. Not because of spoilers but because I don't actually know after that ambiguous ending!

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 10

I watched Heathers, co-starring the late Shannen Doherty (who was missed off the In Memorium section).

Another film that I can't believe I haven't watched before. Teenage me would have loved it!

Given my ambivalence towards everyone, that's probably a good thing!

Playing catch up and logging some older challenges.

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 9 completed with Kinky Boots.

I actually watched the musical of this last year and think I preferred that but this has the same basic story and is entertaining enough.

Wasn't expecting such a great cast to be in it!

#MovieChallenge 2025 - Week 8

Finally completed with Slaxx.

This has been on my watchlist for a while, and it's good for a killer inanimate object movie, but it takes a while to get going (a huge problem for a 77-minute movie!).

The main character has never heard of Green Day? Very unbelievable!
