Writer of overly long bios, Simpsons addict, over thinking movies since the '80s.
The Mission: Impossible rewatch continued with both Rogue Nation and Fallout.
Both deal with The Syndicate, arms dealers, and the mysterious John Lark.
How many times can Ethan Hunt be betrayed by his own government before he just gives up?

I went to a screening of Clue, which actually contains 6 inanimate objects used as murder weapons!
I love the fact that everyone describes this film as fun, because it is!
Should have worn my maids outfit to the screening 😜

I started with Halloween Ends.
Thanks to its weird romantic subplot between two characters, it counts.
I retroactively choose this for this because it was so bad that I want people to think I only watched it for this challenge.

I was hoping to watch a couple (see what I did there) of more films this week, but life got in the way, and I ended up watching just the three.
But what a throuple it was!

Did you have a short film challenge the week I went to a screening of several short horror films?
I think you did!
It took me a while to figure out the titles of all nine films, but here they are.
Strap in for a long thread!

I ended up watching 5 films this week, and none had anything to do with the number 5, but this is a rare occurrence of quantity over quality!

I was also going to watch Goon: Last of the Enforcers this week before it left Netflix.
Thankfully, it also counted for this challenge.
There was a time when every Seann William Scott film was a classic; then we entered the 21st century!

I used this challenge as an excuse to finally watch Dark Star.
You can see the influence this had on the sci-fi that followed it & it's groundbreaking for its time, but it can't escape it's student film origins & it's not as funny as it thinks it is!

I watched Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
I think it counts. It's hard to tell the inflection used in a foreign language film but I assume the main characters voice over is aimed at the audience.
I feared the worst every time they were near fire!

This challenge fell during the week of October 3rd and for Mean Girls Day, I watched Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan!
For someone who claims to be a Rachel McAdams fan, it's kinda shocking that I've only watched this film twice!!!

I rewatched Star Wars & Interstellar this week. Both fit this challenge but I wanted to watch something new, so I also watched The Machine.
An interesting premise, the final act is really good but the middle drags & brings the whole film down.

I watched Metal Tornado, a made for SyFy TV movie about a company that creates an electro magnetic storm that sucks up any metallic object.
Starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Nicole de Boer, what's not to like?*
*Plot, VFX, the other "actors"!

I ended up watching Black Adam, which retroactively turned out to be Henry Cavill's final appearance as Superman before the big reboot.
I prefer my DC movies to be fun, silly adventures that aren't too serious, so this isn't my favourite!

Completed with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. I can see why this was considered the best Batman film when it was released.
A lot has been said about Batman/Bruce Wayne's duel identities over the last 85 years, I'm not going to add anything.

Completed with Longlegs, which has strong X-Files vibes.
I think I need to watch it again because "the twist" didn't quite work for me.
Me and my friend sat through the entire end credits trying to work out what we had just watched!
