This!!! Sometimes when I’m reading or playing a game that includes content that confuses me, I feel stupid for not understanding on the first go around. But I’ve come to realize that it’s just another learning opportunity, and that it’s okay to not know/understand everything!
In 2025, I’d like to invite people to purposefully read more dense and/or complex prose.
There is nothing wrong with
reading slow or reading something multiple times.
There’s no shame in looking up the definition of words or writing out plot events to analyze their importance.
